Osgiliath recaptured!

Good continues on its roll in our re-fought LOTR campaign, as 1750 points of Gondorians (led by a cost-free Boromir) took on 1750 points of Mordor’s nastiest (deployed in control of the bridge) in a WOTR battle to see which side would end up in control of Osgiliath, defined by occupation of any three of five key buildings, the bridge across the Anduin being one.

Things started poorly for Good as the captain of the Black Guard of Barad-Dur out-hustled Boromir to heroicly move his unit forward across the end of the bridge to establish a perimeter on the Gondorian side of the river, providing room for the main Evil force
